Basketball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

After soaring to 63 points the game before, Eastern was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Orleans Bulldogs, falling 66-27. The Musketeers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.

Leading Orleans to victory were Rylan Crocker and Alex DeWitt. Crocker went 7-for-12 on his way to 21 points, while DeWitt went 7-for-8 to rack up 17 points. DeWitt is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last three games he's played. Bryce Jones was another key player, putting up six points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.

Eastern has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Orleans, their victory was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Looking ahead, Eastern will head out to challenge Corydon Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orleans, they will host Paoli at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Orleans is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season.
