Basketball Recap: Wiregrass' Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Wiregrass had to endure a 14-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 55-44 win over the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Kings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Wiregrass' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Dozier, who posted 18 points and six boards. Graysen Ellison also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

Despite the loss, Tuscaloosa Home Educators still got an impressive performance from Caleb Farley, who put up 18 points. Another player making a difference was Stephen Turner, who earned ten points.

Wiregrass' victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wiregrass will face off against Ezekiel Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wiregrass is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they will challenge Wiregrass at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
