Davison faced De La Salle Collegiate in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cardinals narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Pilots 23-21. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Cardinals were the better team in the second half.

Davison had a senior duo take command as Jaxson Dosh rushed for 87 yards and a pair of TDs and Jacob Garris rushed for 135 yards.

Davison has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 30.5 points this season. As for De La Salle Collegiate, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
