Football Recap: Chesterfield Takes a Loss

Chesterfield and North Central pushed the score to 40-35 the last time they played North Central, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Golden Rams were just a hair shy of victory and fell 8-7 to the Knights. The contest marked the Golden Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Chesterfield still got an impressive performance from Jullian McClain, who rushed for 150 yards and one score. The Golden Rams are 2-1 when McClain posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

This is the second loss in a row for Chesterfield and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for North Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
