Basketball Recap: Hackberry Comes Up Short

Hackberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evans Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Eagles are ranked 19th).

Hackberry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Evans, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Coming up, Hackberry will be home for the holidays to greet Oberlin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evans, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 89-7 victory against Grace Christian on the 11th.
