Volleyball Recap: Braintree's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Braintree won the last time they faced Waltham and Lauren Caranog did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wamps were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks on Friday thanks in part to Caranog, who had 12 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Braintree never let Waltham on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-22.

Braintree's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5. As for Waltham, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Braintree will take on Weymouth at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waltham, they will venture away from home to challenge Bedford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
