Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Appleton East). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Appleton West Terrors an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Terrors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Appleton East's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Appleton West, their defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Appleton East is set to square off against their familiar foe Neenah at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Appleton West will take on rival Fond du Lac at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
