After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ellsworth, Amery was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 13-10 win over the Unity Eagles. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Marissa Fisk made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. Fisk was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Kylie Hanson was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ruby Christian, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
