Recap: Uncommon vs. Medgar Evers College Prep
If Uncommon were riding high off their 58-33 takedown of Goldstein last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Uncommon took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Medgar Evers College Prep. Uncommon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Medgar Evers College Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.
Dejon Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Medgar Evers College Prep, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyree Keitt, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Uncommon's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Medgar Evers College Prep, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
After both having extra time off, Uncommon and Frank J. Macchiarola will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Medgar Evers College Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Boerum Hill at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
