Basketball Recap: Shelton Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against WF West, Shelton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They snuck past the Tumwater Thunderbirds with a 42-37 victory. For the Highclimbers, this counts as revenge for the 24-15 win the Thunderbirds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Shelton's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Tumwater, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10 record.

Shelton will head out on the road to square off against Black Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tumwater, they will face off against WF West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. WF West will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Tumwater surely won't give up without a fight.
