Baseball Recap: Peekskill Takes a Loss

Peekskill extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They came up short against the East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley] Titans, falling 11-4. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley], their victory bumped their record up to 6-3. Considering they have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley]'s part, Sadiel Rodriguez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. Rodriguez has become a key player for the Titans: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Jeremy Almonte was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.

While Peekskill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
