Football Recap: Upper Lake Takes a Loss

Upper Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Clear Lake Cardinals, falling 37-6. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Upper Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Clear Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Upper Lake will look to defend their home field on Friday against Fort Bragg at 7:00 p.m. As for Clear Lake, they will face off against Mt. Shasta at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will be up against the Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
