Softball Preview: Red River Roughriders vs. West Fargo Packers
Red River hasn't had much luck against West Fargo recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Roughriders are taking a road trip to challenge the Packers at 6:15 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Red River beat Fargo North 7-4. The win continues a trend for the Roughriders in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won six in a row.
Jocelyn Berg was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Berg was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Red River lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.
