Southern Lehigh's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Wilson Area Warriors 14-2. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by nine runs or more this season.

Delaney Young made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Young was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Southern Lehigh got a massive performance out of Isabella Germani, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave Germani a new career-high. Lila Padden was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one triple.

Southern Lehigh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wilson Area only posted an OBP of .333.

Southern Lehigh's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Wilson Area, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Lehigh will face off against Pen Argyl at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
