Basketball Game Preview: George Washington Patriots vs. Regis Groff Fusion

George Washington will head into Friday's match on the come-up: they were handed a 34-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged Vista Ridge out 55-52. The win was all the more spectacular given the Patriots' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Wolves are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Regis Groff). They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 56-15 victory over Rocky Mountain Prep SMART. The Fusion have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season.

Regis Groff's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for George Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
