It was a good run, but St. Charles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 9-4 to the Hazelwood West Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 11-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

St. Charles' loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hazelwood West, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

St. Charles will challenge Winfield at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hazelwood West, they will square off against North County on Saturday.
