Basketball Recap: Williston Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Williston can now relate to. They fell just short of the Hawthorne Hornets by a score of 45-43 on Monday. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 55-50.

Hawthorne had a senior duo take command as Chasion Wilson dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds and Dacarion Debose posted 14 points and six steals. Wilson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kelvin Baker, who scored five points.

Williston's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Hawthorne, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-3.

As of now, neither Williston nor Hawthorne have any future games scheduled.
