Basketball Recap: Payton College Prep Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Payton College Prep won the last time they faced Lake View and things went their way on Friday too. The Payton College Prep Grizzlies came out on top against the Lake View Wildcats by a score of 64-53.

Lake View lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Daniel Loza, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points. That was a full 41.5% of Lake View's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Frank Fregoso, who put up six points along with seven assists and six boards.

Payton College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Lake View, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
