Basketball Recap: Salem Sayers Baptist Academy Piles Up the Points Against River City Believers Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Winston, Salem Sayers Baptist Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They really took it to the River City Believers Academy Soldiers for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-9 victory. Salem Sayers Baptist Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

David Jorgensen produced another solid effort going 9-for-10 en route to 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Jorgensen is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Guy Crow, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 12 points.

Salem Sayers Baptist Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win got Salem Sayers Baptist Academy back to even at 2-2. As for River City Believers Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
