Basketball Game Preview: Windham Eagles vs. Oxford Hills Vikings

The Windham Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Oxford Hills Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Windham has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

On Friday, Windham strolled past Bangor with points to spare, taking the game 81-65. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Rams are ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Oxford Hills came up short against Cheverus on Friday, falling 70-45. The Vikings have struggled against the Stags recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Oxford Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Windham, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.

Everything went Windham's way against Oxford Hills in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Windham made off with a 75-55 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windham since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
