Softball Recap: Elizabeth Comes Up Short

Elizabeth and Columbia squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Elizabeth had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-0. The Minutemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Columbia, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Elizabeth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Phillipsburg on the 30th.
