Football Recap: Centerville Takes a Loss

Centerville's last matchup with Groesbeck could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Tigers lost 42-19 to the Goats. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 37-34 to the Goats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Centerville lost, don't look at CJ Craig. Despite the final result, he rushed for 111 yards on only 11 carries.

Centerville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Groesbeck, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centerville will challenge Crockett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Groesbeck, they will venture away from home to square off against Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
