Volleyball Recap: Elk River Comes Up Short

Elk River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barron Golden Bears.

Audra Bitzan paced Elk River's offense, picking up six kills. Bitzan got some help from Makenna Glaser and her 13 assists.

Elk River's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Barron, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 26-3.

Elk River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Mounds View on the 11th. As for Barron, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Byron on the 10th.
