South Columbus is 8-2 against West Bladen since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The South Columbus Stallions will head out to square off against the West Bladen Knights at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, South Columbus came up short against Pender and fell 9-5. That's two games in a row now that the Stallions have lost by exactly four runs.

Meanwhile, West Bladen hadn't done well against South Columbus recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. West Bladen walked away with a 7-3 win over South Columbus. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 10, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Allison Hickman made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Natalee Sykes, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Marlene Crabtree was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

West Bladen's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for South Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

South Columbus couldn't quite get it done against West Bladen in their previous meeting on Wednesday as they fell 7-3. Can South Columbus avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
