Basketball Recap: Ennis Comes Up Short

Ennis lost against Crandall back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ennis Lions fell 65-52 to the Crandall Pirates.

Crandall was led to victory by Lebron Mckelvy and Dylan Franklin. Mckelvy went 10 of 15 on his way to 25 points and four steals, while Franklin went 8 for 14 en route to 21 points. Mckelvy's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jaidan Hall was another key player, putting up two points along with five assists and four steals.

Ennis has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Crandall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-15.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ennis Lions duke it out with the Midlothian Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crandall, they will head out to square off against Terrell at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
