Volleyball Game Preview: Hickory Hawks vs. Grassfield Grizzlies + How To Watch

The Hickory Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Grassfield Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Hickory is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Indian River, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Hickory was ranked 13th). The Hawks came out on top against the Braves by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the Hawks' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Grassfield got the win against Deep Creek on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Grassfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 26-24, 25-10.

Hickory's record now sits at 11-5. As for Grassfield, their record is now 13-5.

Hickory came out on top in a nail-biter against Grassfield in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
