Baseball Recap: Foley Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Foley's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles. The Falcons have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Porter Loehrer tossed a big game, tossing 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gavyn Wirth, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Noah Gapinski was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Foley's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.4 runs this season. As for Eden Valley-Watkins, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
