Baseball Game Preview: Haverford Fords vs. Lower Merion Aces

Haverford hasn't had much luck against Lower Merion recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Haverford is taking a road trip to challenge Lower Merion at 3:45 p.m. The last three games Haverford has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, it was close, but Haverford sidestepped Plymouth Whitemarsh for a 6-5 win.

Ryan Cassidy was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nishan Elvanian, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lower Merion had just enough and edged out Conestoga 3-1 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aces.

Haverford pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.25 runs across that stretch. As for Lower Merion, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
