Chichester had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They never let the Academy Park Knights get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Trevor Goschler was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Sanford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Chichester was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .647. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in eight consecutive matches.

Chichester's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Academy Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chichester will square off against Ridley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Academy Park, they will head out on the road to challenge Penn Wood at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
