Baseball Recap: Amber-Pocasset's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Amber-Pocasset entered their tilt with Verden on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 two weeks ago.

Not much got past Bennett Posey, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Verden off the board. Posey has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Avery McComas, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Connor Copeland, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Amber-Pocasset's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Verden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Amber-Pocasset will head out to face off against Okarche at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Verden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Big Pasture at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
