Scottsdale Christian Academy entered their tilt with Tonopah Valley on Friday with eight consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They really took it to the Phoenix for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-0 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 37-point advantage.

A big part of Scottsdale Christian Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Sean Helgeson and his top target Isaiah Steffen. Helgeson threw for 258 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 19 passes while Steffen picked up 140 receiving yards and two TDs. Those 258 passing yards gave Helgeson a new career-high. Another big playmaker for Scottsdale Christian Academy was Caleb Murphy, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

One reason for the win was Scottsdale Christian Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Abraham Ortega, Logan Liston, and London Olsen, who each picked up one sack apiece. Scottsdale Christian Academy received some extra help from Martin Perez, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Scottsdale Christian Academy, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Murphy, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
