Kettle Run beats Warren County for their eighth straight win

Recap: Kettle Run Cougars vs. Warren County Wildcats

The Kettle Run Cougars put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 57-8 win over Warren County. The result was nothing new for Kettle Run, who have now won seven matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Colton Quaker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Quaker is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played. Jacob Mulhern was another key contributor, throwing for 141 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes.

Kettle Run's win was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27 points. As for Warren County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kettle Run will challenge Fauquier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fauquier will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Kettle Run is ranked 20th). As for Warren County, they will head out on the road to face off against Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
