Volleyball Recap: Veritas Academy Comes Up Short

Veritas Academy was the 2-0 winner over First Baptist Academy when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. Veritas Academy took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of First Baptist Academy on Saturday. Veritas Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Veritas Academy lost, don't look at Bailey McGehee. Despite the final result, she had 11 kills and eight digs. McGehee is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Veritas Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for First Baptist Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Veritas Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Geneva on the 13th. As for First Baptist Academy, they will head out to square off against Living Rock Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
