Baseball Game Preview: Lewiston-Porter Lancers vs. Kenmore West Blue Devils

The Lewiston-Porter Lancers will head out to take on the Kenmore West Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lewiston-Porter hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Lewiston-Porter lost 7-1 to Niagara Falls on Monday.

Lewiston-Porter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Jorgensen, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Brayden VanEgmond, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Kenmore East hit Kenmore West with a five-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 7-1.

Kenmore West dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Lewiston-Porter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Lewiston-Porter skirted past Kenmore West 6-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
