Baseball Recap: Austin Achieve Comes Up Short

After flying high against LBJ Austin last Tuesday, Austin Achieve came back down to earth. The Polar Bears came up short against the Jaguars on Friday, falling 15-1. The Polar Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 19-13.

Austin Achieve's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for LBJ Austin, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-12.

Austin Achieve will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Travis at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for LBJ Austin, they will be playing at home against Valor South Austin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
