Softball Recap: Bethel Wins Going Away Against Greenon

Bethel's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Greenon Knights. With that win, the Bees brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Chloe Kerns made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Kerns was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Allie Sheen was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Larkins, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Bethel was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenon only posted a batting average of .241.

Bethel's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Greenon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Bethel will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair will be back at it again later today.
