Volleyball Recap: University Christian Has No Trouble Against Millers Creek Christian

The University Christian Barracudas made easy work of the Millers Creek Christian Lions on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Barracudas.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 25-6.

University Christian found their leader in freshman Fernanda Soto, who had 20 assists and five digs. Soto is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 20 every time she's taken the court this season.

University Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

University Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Millers Creek Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Christian will take on Statesville Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millers Creek Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sheets Memorial Christian at 5:00 p.m. on October 2.
