Jacksboro is a perfect 10-0 against City View since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will square off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. The last five games Jacksboro has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Friday just wasn't the day for Jacksboro's offense. They fell just short of Henrietta by a score of 1-0 on Friday. That makes it the first time this season the Tigers have let down their home crowd.

Cannon Valenzuela spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 17 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jacksboro saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Gavit, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, City View came up short against Bowie on Friday, falling 10-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

City View's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Jacksboro, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 14-4.

Everything went Jacksboro's way against City View when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Jacksboro made off with a 12-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
