Spiro lost against Pocola back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spiro Bulldogs lost 44-21 to the Pocola Indians.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pocola to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aj Lyons-Jerrell, who rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Another passer making a difference was Jaseir Posey, who threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.
Spiro's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pocola, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Spiro will be playing in front of their home fans against Muldrow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pocola, they will square off against Vian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pocola will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
