Baseball Recap: Cerritos Find Success

Cerritos extended their postseason success on Friday against Banning. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Broncos.

Jacob Hoosac spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adrian Regis, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Dalton Chi, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Cerritos' victory bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Banning, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-4.

As of now, neither Cerritos nor the Broncos have any future games scheduled.
