North Buncombe was led to victory by Aubrey Gilliland, who turned in her biggest game of the season on Saturday. Gilliland went 8 of 16 on her way to 19 points and six steals. The effort marked the most steals she has had since back in January of 2024.

Gilliland and North Buncombe will challenge T.C. Roberson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Black Hawks got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Rams, probably because Gilliland had a solid game then too: she posted eight points in addition to nine boards and three steals.
