Belle Plaine scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Randolph Rockets by a score of 13-12. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Belle Plaine dropped their record down to 6-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Randolph, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
