Softball Recap: Lee Park Prep Wins Going Away Against Gaston Christian

Lee Park Prep won the last time they faced Gaston Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lee Park Prep Knights blew past the Gaston Christian Eagles 16-1.

Lee Park Prep let Addison Laney and Nevaeh Alexander run wild. Laney went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Alexander scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most RBI Laney has posted since back in March of 2024. Avery Rushing was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Lee Park Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gaston Christian only posted an OBP of .333.

Lee Park Prep's record now sits at 2-0. As for Gaston Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee Park Prep will take on Concord Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. The match will give SouthLake Christian Academy their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
