Basketball Recap: Bacon County Takes a Loss

Bacon County lost against Toombs County last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The matchup between the Raiders and the Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Raiders falling 58-44.

Toombs County was led to victory by Parker Stanley and Cornelius Bullard, Jr.. Stanley went 6-for-9 to rack up 15 points and seven boards, while Bullard, Jr. shot 50% from the field on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Stanley is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Jayden Jackson was another key player, putting up five points and five assists.

Bacon County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Toombs County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Bacon County will take on West Laurens at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Toombs County, they will take on Turner County in a tournament on Monday.
