Softball Recap: East Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

East Chapel Hill dropped their record down to 7-6 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Jordan Falcons, falling 15-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 back in March.

Lauren Steiner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Lindsay White was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

As for Jordan, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by eight runs or more this season.

On Jordan's side, the team relied heavily on Kylie Specht, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Specht is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sidney Sharp, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Chapel Hill will welcome Carrboro at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jordan, they will be playing at home against Riverside-Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
