Recap: Largo Lions vs. Potomac Wolverines
In what's become a running theme this season, the Largo Lions gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 84-27 victory over Potomac at home. Winning may never get old, but Largo sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Largo was led to victory by Jalen Johnson and Cameron Ward. Johnson scored 16 points along with seven steals, while Ward dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Ward is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was maleik bias, who scored nine points.
Largo's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.08 points. As for Potomac, they have fallen quite a ways from their 14-7 record last season and are now at 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Largo won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against iSchool of Lewisville at 3:30 p.m. on January 12th. ISchool of Lewisville is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Potomac, they will be playing at home against Friendly at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
