Baseball Recap: Ida B. Wells Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Ida B. Wells and South Medford squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Ida B. Wells had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Guardians just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Ida B. Wells saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Hammer, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Hammer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Ida B. Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for South Medford, their win bumped their record up to 15-13.
