Basketball Recap: Bishop Mclaughlin Catholic Drops Season-High Score on Angeline Academy of Innovation

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop McLaughlin Catholic). They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 58-10 win over the Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marley Weaver, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 steals. Weaver is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed ten or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aliana Arana, who posted ten points in addition to eight boards and five steals.

Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.7 points per game. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-15.
