Recap: Larimore Polar Bears vs. Warwick Warriors

The Larimore Polar Bears came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Warwick by a score of 63-56 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Larimore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Myers, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 20 rebounds. Myers hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for eight straight games. Baron Burns was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Larimore pushed their record up to 9-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Warwick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Larimore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-44 win vs. Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] on the 10th. Warwick will head out on the road to face off against New Rockford-Sheyenne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warwick knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully New Rockford-Sheyenne likes a good challenge.
