Football Recap: Harnett Central Skates Past Southern Lee with Ease

There's no place like home for Harnett Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Southern Lee Cavaliers 50-13 on Friday. With that victory, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 27.4 points per game.

Harnett Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dj Brown, who picked up 161 receiving yards and three scores. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 101.1 receiving yards per game. King Murdock was in the mix too, providing Harnett Central with two touchdowns.

Harnett Central's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Nolan Bullock was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Jaquan Wynne got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

With the win, Harnett Central broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-4. As for Southern Lee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
